Default the REAL reason rangers suck inside!!! *RANT*

The reason why Rangers suck is because whenver you see a ranger being "good" you go to friging Anet and tell them to nerf the rangers. And the majority of those people doing it are..... Warriors....... Hmm..... Lets think of the ways Anet has Nerfed Warriors, Oh there DIDNT. The reason why Rangers suck is because all of you f#&$g warriors are imature little brats that cry at anet once you see a ranger not sucking So F**k all of you warriors and your IWAY build. If ANet is going to abuse the nerf-bat they should atleast be FAIR with it....

NERF IWAY.

i kinda agree i get called noob in pvp when i kill warriors and i think most warriors are little 12 year olds (sorry if ur not) its cuz we use a combo of good skills that make use win my mate can take monks out with a couple of hits with his ranger and u have to admit rangers rule in uw as a trapping team

*sad violin music*

Spirits were unbalanced and were deforming the environment.

Ranger interupts became far too spammable from the buff they got on Thursday, August 25 and needed to be rebalanced.

You're not a victim of anything other than probably not being good at this game if you can't cope with balance changes.

Rangers must suck because yesterday my ranger got kicked from a group in Granite Citadel in preference for a warrior.
I was a member of that group for ten minutes and they kicked me just when we were about to leave for defend Droknars quest.

I am not mad though because i know my ranger could have owned every member of that team if it came down to it.

lets not called them balance changes. more like efforts. in the august update those buffs came as balance changes, right? well turns out, it imbalanced the game. point is anet cant know everything and cant even test every aspect of skill combos and pvp situations, they have to let thousands of people put it to the test and it turns out, people can be very crafty

I would like to point out to you that warriors did get a nerf done to them. Also I did see some minor problems from rangers spaming the interupts and doing insane spike damage that pretty much went around all types or protection spells. Personly I think you post is more noobish than the people you are calling noobs. As for what I play. Lets see Warrior on the list. El all types, Elmo smiter, healer prot monk. Some ranger. a little necro. Mesmer. Of that list I play monk and El the best. Rangers need a slight nerf done to them.

slight? Yes spirit spam was overpowered but rangers ARE the MOST nerfed class in guildwars by far. Interupts weren't nerfed badly at all though they still work really well .

meh, I find everyone is biased towards my ranger equally. Why? I'm not a healing monk If there aren't 3 healing monks for every 1 non-monk, people get biased against you.

My Ranger still plays fine. Try out a new build or a new char.

Rangers don't suck.

As a hardcore ranger, I *wanted* the nerfs to happen. Spirit spamming was BS, and the interrupting ranger spike was very retarded.

Now those who are actually good with rangers will use them. Those who are bad with them will complain.

Changes to Ranger skills since retail start:

Two months of buffing the already formidable Ranger class. Not huge buffs, but still. Spirits are still broken and run rampant after a few Guilds (obligatory KCHS whoring) decide to abuse Oath Shot, Fertile Season and Nature's Renewal.

ARGUABLE: Decreased Punishing Shot attack time from .75 to .5 seconds; increased recharge time to 8 seconds.
BUFF: Decreased Concussion Shot attack time from .75 to .5 seconds
NERF: Nature's Renewal modified to no longer remove all Hexes and Enchantments when cast; now doubles the Energy degeneration for maintained Enchantments.
NERF: Reduced Fertile Season duration to 15..45 seconds.
NERF: Increased Quickening Zephyr Energy cost to 25; reduced duration to 15..45 seconds.
NERF: The effects of Spirits no longer work on other Spirits (example: Fertile Season no longer adds Health and armor to other Spirits); also, when a Spirit is cast, it kills all other allied Spirits of the same type within its range
Spirits get major, much deserved nerfage. Some, like Quickening Zephyr, are still bloody amazing but harder to keep alive. First Ranger nerfs of retail. Underused skills get buffs across the board, and interrupt bow attacks are now even faster.

More buffs! For pets, but still. Buffs!

BUFF: Decreased Lightning Reflexes recharge to 45 seconds.
BUFF: Decreased Dust Trap damage to 10..25; now pulses 5 times. (Addendum: Dust Trap borked, powerful).
BUFF: Dodge duration now scales 5..11 seconds.
BUFF: Pet Attacks - Each attack functions just like a Shout.
NERF: Increased Debilitating Shot recharge to 10 seconds.
NERF: Interrupt Bow Attacks – Added a delay after skill is used before another can be used.
Underused skills get a boost (Read the Wind now a bloody good preperation), pets get stronger still, only the interrupt bow attacks get nerfed, along with Debilitating Shot (Mesmers got it worse, but they had it coming, too). On the 30th, Dust Trap was fixed.

Looking down that list, I see one hell of a lot of buffing going on. Yes, there's some nerfs, but anyone would admit Spirit Spamming was horrendously overpowering, as was the discovery of spamming interrupts for damage. What I mean is, go RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO yourself (hooray, filtering). Now, to rest my typin' hands.

The simple solultion to Iway, is not to bunch up an easy to kill group. after all they are wanting to have their pets killed normally... Focus on the players...

When I see a massive warrior group with 8 pets and a necro. first thing I do is get away from the group and try to locate the necro... Out it goes, then nail the rest of them. Problem is most of the time people don't know whats going on. Iway was a legitimate counter to a healing ball. genearlly speaking a good spiker can nail the necro away from the group ina few seconds... just wait for a sacrifice cast and NAIL him. Bing Bang. The rest of the group should be focusing on the players. not the pets... Gee pets can't res right? Der!! lol anyways. its not an impossible build to counter, you just need to recognize it right away and take action. this is not a common concept though. Oh someone is doing something different... ahhh lets camp and see what happens. AHHH dead!! After the first I will avenge you casts get the heck out of there... and regroup on a spread out fashion. Focus fire on Players only. and Bing. you win... well A better chance then jsut standing there getting plumited by warriors and crippiling effects...

well IF rangers were the most nerfed or even the most buffed, it wouldnt be surprising. rangers are(imo) the jack of all trades. designed to possibly do anything. so keeping all the aspects of what they can and cant do balanced within the class itself, it makes it even harder to keep the class balanced with all the other classes.

anyway yea RtW is an awesome prep now. was kinda ridiculous before. does it stack with FW?

Everyone, just ignore him...

My formula to making fun of the idiots on these boards: Don't respond, have the OP try to bump it a week later and start cussing at us for not responding, have a mod close it, have the OP freak out at the mod in another post, have the OP banned.

Then if you feel the need to laugh at him, do it via email/AIM

The only reason any class sucks is because you've got a shitty player controlling it.
